A Tyendinaga Territory cannabis shop was heavily damaged by fire early holiday Monday morning.
Mohawk and Tyendinaga Township firefighters were called out to 364 York Road shortly before 5 a.m. where part of the Peacemaker 420 shop was up in flames.
The flames were quickly knocked down and Mohawk Fire Chief Scott Maracle said, despite the damage, the structure was still standing and that some of the products inside were saved.
There was no damage to the home at the rear of the store and no one was injured.
Tyendinaga Police and the Mohawk Fire Department are conducting an investigation in the fire’s cause.
