The Rotary Loves Kids Golf Tournament is back in full swing this year.
The July 22 tournament will be held at two local golf courses, Black Bear Ridge and Trillium Wood.
Tournament Co-Chair Cassandra Bonn of Quinte Broadcasting says money raised goes to several local charities supporting children and youth.
“For the past 19 years, we’ve raised $1.7 million to help different charities and different initiatives in our community such as The Children’s Foundation, the Belleville General Hospital Foundation, Easter Seals, Camp Merrywood.”
Black Bear Ridge is already sold out but there are still spots left at Trillium Wood.
Bonn, who is co-chairing the event with the YMCA’s David Allen, says the after-party also makes its return this summer.
She calls Party on Bay at West Zwick’s Park the party to be at this summer and says it is open to everyone.
“We are gonna be entertained with Caleb Hutton as well as the Impish Grins. It’s a licensed event, and we have 50/50 tickets going on. And really it’s just a phenomenal event.”
Bonn says neither event would be possible without their dedicated volunteers who have been working for months.
“We have such a committed team of worker bees that are behind the scenes that are making this event, both the golf and the party, the best event possible. And it’s really the Rotary Club of Belleville’s biggest fundraiser of the year.”
