After an absence of three years, a popular event is back at Sandbanks Park.
The sand-sculping event at the Mouth of the Outlet River is being held Wednesday morning.
Professional sand sculptor Rod Bryant will be present to demonstrate castle-building techniques and answer questions.
Bryant will also showcase the items that can be created using only sand and water.
The event is open this year to everyone.
It is featuring a custom trophy prize for best creation, and more.
It is a fun-filled activity for the whole family.
Participants must bring a bucket and shovel.
Ribbon participation prizes for all.
It runs from 8:30 a.m. to noon.
There is a $20 fee and the funds go to the Friends of Sandbanks to help restore the Dunes Trail.
