The Prince Edward County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police have confirmed that two people have died after a single vehicle collision on County Road 23.
Officers responded to the collision south of Victoria Road in Ameliasburg just before 11:30 Saturday morning.
An initial investigation by police determined that the vehicle left road, entered a ditch, and rolled.
The deceased have been identified as 19-year-old Justin Crowe from Ameliasburg as the driver of the vehicle.
The passenger of the vehicle who had also passed was 17-year-old Sarah Bradburry from Belleville.
In a statement, the Frankford Huskies said that they are “devastated” by Crowe’s passing.
Crowe was a member of the Huskies during their inaugural season (2021-22) in The PJHL.

The investigation continues with help from the OPP Technical Collision Investigators (TCI) and Reconstructionist.
