STABBING
A Belleville man was taken to Kingston General Hospital for treatment after an early morning incident in the east end of the city.
Belleville police responded to Pine Street around 2:30 to find a man bleeding from multiple stab wounds.
The wounds are said to be serious but non-life-threatening.
A search by officers and the K9 Unit was unsuccessful.
Police believe the incident was an isolated one as those involved knew each other and that there no is threat to public safety.
WEAPONS INCIDENT
A Belleville man faces several charges after an incident involving a weapon Wednesday night.
Police say that shortly before 9 o’clock a man tried to force his way into an apartment but was chased away with a man brandishing a pellet gun.
The occupant of the apartment, 42-year-old Michael Huntley was charged with possession of a prohibited weapon and breaching a weapons prohibition, among other charges.
Meanwhile, a woman found in the apartment, 31-year-old Alisha Maille of Belleville was arrested as she was wanted on drug and weapons charges.
