Jim Harrison is still the only mayoral candidate in Quinte West and no candidates have filed papers to run in Ward 1 at this time.
Harrison announced last week he is seeking a third term as the municipality’s mayor.
The candidate list for Ward 1 (Trenton), where there are five seats, remains empty.
Two of the four Ward 2 (Sidney) councillors, Allan DeWitt and Don Kuntze, are running again.
They are the only candidates so far in the ward which will have three representatives on council.
There is one candidate in Ward 3 (Murray) – David McCue who is seeking re-election.
Ward 3 has two seats.
And there are no candidates yet in Ward 4 (Frankford), where there is just one seat up for grabs.
The municipal election is October 24, 2022.
