There’s something for everyone this weekend as Belleville’s Annual Waterfront & Multicultural Festival makes it return.
Chamber of Commerce CEO Jill Raycroft says West Zwick’s Park will be full of entertainment, food and fun.
“We know that people love the food, we know that people love the midway and we really ramped up some of the entertainment around the park so there’s lots to see and do every single day.”
Food from nine countries including the Caribbean, Italy , Thailand and Portugal will be served up and the Pop-Ups on the Bay will also be open.
Raycroft says Friday evening’s Parade of Nations will be a special one that everyone is invited to take part in.
“Culminating in a smudging ceremony at the Lions Pavilion. So, if anybody wants to join us for that, they’re welcome to meet us at the front gates at 6 o’clock on Friday evening and then we’ll walk our way down to the main pavilion, or the Lions Pavilion main stage, and we’ll continue with a variety of different performances.”
Buskers will be all around the park and entertainment on the main stage will feature tributes to Elvis, Chicago, Journey and the Beach Boys as well as a performance by the Mudmen Saturday afternoon.
Admission to the festival is free. Onsite parking is $5.
There are shuttle buses being offered from the Quinte Sports & Wellness Centre and the downtown Terminal.
Midway tickets can be purchased at the event or discounted all-day bracelets can be purchased at the Log Cabin on Moira Street East until Wednesday.
