Belleville’s Canada Day celebration kicked off on Friday at Zwick’s Park.
The gathering, the first major in-person Canada Day celebration in the city since the start of COVID, started with a pancake breakfast at 9:30 a.m.
West Zwick’s park was packed with residents coming out to enjoy the live performances, good weather and food.
Live shows are taking place over the course of the day, including dog shows, buskers, and other performances.
The celebration will end with a fireworks display at dusk.
