Bancroft OPP are investigating after a stray bullet hit an adult in Wollaston Township near Coe Hill.
OPP received the report of an injured person at a home along Highway 620 Saturday evening.
An investigation by police found that the incident happened between 7:40 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. that night in the area of Ormsby.
While no one was located in the immediate area, police believe someone could have been target shooting.
