Crews from the City of Belleville continue the clean-up from the storm that ripped through the city on June 16.
Joe Reid, General Manager of Transportation and Operations, says it will be a while before the total cost of the clean-up is known.
“As of yesterday, there was 2,900 hours logged of staff time between our parks and open roadway staff. They’ve been working around the clock and working very hard to get the storm cleaned up. There’s still a lot of work ahead of us and we’ll be weeks to months with a full clean up.”
Residents can still put debris out for pick-up and the Leaf and Yard Waste Depot on Wallbridge Crescent remains open Monday to Saturday for residents to drop off debris.
Thankfully there were no injuries as a result of the storm.
