For Belleville Fire and Emergency Services, it’s not just about putting out fires, it’s about preventing them.
Belleville Fire’s school visit program allows students to participate in fire safety education, meet fire suppression personnel and enjoy hands-on activities, including fire truck tours.
Fire prevention officer Jason Williams says they were able to visit 10 local schools once COVID-19 restrictions were lifted and plan to resume the program in the fall.
