Belleville Mayor Mitch Panciuk is set to make an announcement during a city council meeting this afternoon.
According to the city in a release, the announcement will be a “major sports announcement” hinting that an event will be coming to Belleville in 2022.
The announcement is set to be made at the end of the city’s agenda.
Council starts its meeting at 4 p.m.
