A Belleville city councillor has again made her opinion of people offering to buy people’s houses, often sight-unseen, crystal clear.
Standing up at city council’s meeting Monday and waving “we buy houses” lawn signs, Kelly McCaw invited residents to give her a call and she’d be happy to dispose of any of the signs people have pulled from roadsides and intersections, out of disgust.
McCaw says the businesses, often from out of the area, are simply preying on homeowners, hurting local realtors, and making the area’s housing crisis more serious.
