The Canadian Armed Forces will be holding military training in the county this summer.
On Tuesday, Prince Edward County Council chose to temporarily waive Use and Noise by-laws along Millennium Trail to allow for a Canadian Army Advanced Warfare Centre Pathfinder Training Exercise.
The west end of Millennium Trail, around Consecon, will be used by Canadian Armed Forces for training exercises on August 9, 2022 between the hours of 12:01 a.m. and 7:00 a.m., says council staff.
The Millennium Trail Use By-law establishes the permitted hours of use for the trail between 7:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m., and this provision of the by-law will be waived to allow the training to commence at midnight.
The County will be issuing a PSA on various media outlets for nearby residents leading up to the training date.
