Plans are underway to make sure Belleville can celebrate Canada Day.
CEO of Belleville Chamber of Commerce Jill Raycroft tells Quinte News there will be a full day of attractions and entertainment at West Zwick’s Park on July 1.
“Certainly over the course of the last two years we’ve found that summer has even kept any kind of transmission pretty low so it should be a pretty safe event.”
The events will begin at 9:30 a.m. and continue until the fireworks display at about 10 p.m.
Meanwhile, plans are also well underway for Belleville’s annual Waterfront and Multicultural Festival.
Raycroft tells Quinte News there will be lots of food again this year, and, of course, the midway.
“It’s all about food but before you get to food, of course, you’ll hear the midway first. And that’s what you’re going to hear. When you walk in. Then you’ll smell. You’ll smell the popcorn. You’ll hear the rides.”
The annual festival at West Zwick’s Park gets underway Thursday, July 7, and runs for three days.
