Belleville council is paving the way for important upgrades to the city’s Dundas Street bridge.
At its meeting Monday council approve the low tender from D.M. Wills Associates for detailed design for repairs and structure changes.
That work will cost just over $184,000 including tax.
The design will include an option for a wider three-metre walkway connecting Dundas with the Riverside Trail instead of a narrow sidewalk and a staircase.
Dundas Street bridge hasn’t been upgraded since 2001.
