The construction industry is on a roll in the Quinte region.
In fact in Belleville alone last month 131 building permits were issued for a construction value of just over $55 million.
That’s the second highest value ever for the month of May in the city.
The highest construction value for May occurred 12 years ago in 2011 when the city issued a building permit for the Quinte Consolidated Courthouse.
That project cost $247 million.
