During the weekend of June 10-12, 2022, there were 70 calls for service for the Central Hastings OPP.
The calls for service included one sudden death, one break and enter, one assault, one sex assault, two theft incidents, two frauds, two domestic disputes, two motor vehicle collisions, six alarm calls and 11 requests for police assistance. Officers also conducted four community service events and one RIDE program.
On June 12, 2022, at approximately 4:45 a.m., officers with the Central Hastings OPP responded to a report of an assault at a multi-unit residence in the Municipality of Centre Hastings.
As a result of the investigation, Joshua Marshall, 30 years old of Centre Hastings, was arrested and charged with assault.
He was released on an undertaking with a first appearance scheduled for July 7, 2022, at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville.
