Fire has destroyed an entire building containing storage units in Campbellford.
Trent Hills firefighters were called out shortly before 5 o’clock Saturday morning to Campbellford Self Storage at 29 Industrial Drive.
A man had rented one of the 24 storage units inside the building and was living there. That’s where the fire started.
Flames quickly spread through the building from there. The man was taken to Campbellford Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.
Trent Hills Fire Chief Tim Blake says a damage estimate is hard to come up with because some of the items being stored were badly burned but estimates between $300,000 and $500,000 damage was done by the fire.
Campbellford Self Storage consists of eight separate buildings.
