Quinte Conservation is planning a BioBlitz to study species living in an area just south of Tweed.
The day at Cassidy Block is planned to be an intensive field study to record as many living species as possible in the area. Robert Ormston, a technician with Quinte Conservation, says the plan is to split into groups with one group looking for birds, another for plants and another for snakes.
In the survey for snakes, plywood boards will be put down to attract the snakes.
The survey takes place Thursday June 16 beginning at 10 a.m.
