ASSAULT ON CHURCH STREET
A Belleville woman faces assault and assault police charges after an incident Wednesday night near the Grace Inn homeless shelter.
Police were called at around 10 o’clock after reports a woman had been assaulted.
During an arrest an officer was kicked but wasn’t injured.
Tanya Jamieson, 42, will be in court July 28 to answer to the charges.
PROHIBITED WEAPON
A man was arrested early Thursday in east end Belleville after a home’s front door had been smashed in.
City police located a suspect nearby shortly before one o’clock in the morning in the Meyers/Bettes streets area and discovered a set of brass knuckles in his possession.
Travis Graham, 31, of Belleville was charged with mischief and possession of a prohibited weapon and appears in court July 28.
