The number of Emergency Services calls in Hastings County, for the first four months of this year, jumped by more than 2,000 from the same time last year.
The statistics for January to April in 2021 are a total of 10,924 calls.
The number for the first four months in 2022 is 13,061, an increase of 2,137.
Meanwhile, the emergency response time across Hastings County also increased.
Response time for Code 4 emergency calls jumped by 1:18 minutes, from 8:23 minutes to 9:41 minutes.
The biggest response times recorded were in the central zone of Hastings County.
That area recorded 15:11 minutes in 2021, going up to 16:02 for the first four months of this year.
The response time for emergency calls in Prince Edward County also increased for the first four months of 2022.
They jumped from 10:40 minutes to 12:15 minutes.
