By a vote of four to three, Brighton council has decided to hire consultants to take a close look at how the organization is being run.
KPMG will do the organizational review at a cost of $94,000.
That price is less than the $110,000 originally tendered by the company as it was asked to lessen the scope of the review to lower the price.
Instead of conducting around 100 interviews consultants will do about 50.
Some on council asked for the review after a handful of senior managers left their jobs in the past couple of years.
Voting for the review were councillors Rowley, LeBlanc, Tadman, and Bateman.
Voting against were Mayor Ostrander, Deputy Mayor Laura Knegt and Councillor Ron Anderson.
