Hastings Quinte Paramedic Services saw a jump in service calls during the first three months of 2022.
A report to Hastings County Council on Thursday shows the service received 1,686 more calls this year over last year’s total for those same months, January one to March 31.
The total number of calls for the three months was 9,602, compared to 7,916 for the same period in 2021.
The highest ambulance response time was in the central location of Hastings Quinte with 16.1 minutes.
North Hastings was next with 10.24 minutes.
For the South Zone it was 8.18 minutes.
For Hastings County response time for the first three months of 2022 was 10.12 minutes, 1.87 minutes above the first three months of last year.
And for Prince Edward County it came to 12.20, that is 1.9 minutes over the first three months of last year.
