Members of 424 Squadron were busy following Saturday’s storm.
The Trenton Joint Rescue Coordination Centre reports the squadron evacuated a total of seven people stranded in the forest north of Kingston.
Crews worked through night to bring them to safety.
The fast-moving storm with powerful winds that swept across southern and eastern Ontario and into Quebec is being blamed for five deaths.
Not included in that official count is a fatality near Mud Turtle Lake, north of Marmora.
Central Hastings OPP tweeted a person was struck and killed by a falling tree just after 3:30 p.m.
The victim has not been identified.
Tens of thousands of homes and businesses remain without power.
