Saturday’s storm left behind big damage and multiple deaths across the province.
Central Hastings OPP is investigating a fatality near Mud Turtle Lake, north of Marmora.
Provincial Police tweeted that just after 3:30 p.m., officers received reports of a person who was struck and killed by a falling tree.
Elsewhere across the province, a 44-year-old man was killed west of Ottawa and a woman in her 70s died in Brampton – both struck by falling trees.
Police reported another death in the west end of Ottawa but did not provide any details.
In the Waterloo Region, one person was killed when a tree fell on a camping trailer.
Tens of thousands remain without power across Ontario following the fierce storm.
Much of the east end of the City of Belleville was without power for several hours.
There are still scattered outages across the Quinte region, especially to the north.
Some weather experts are classifying the storm as a derecho event, which causes damage for 450 kilometres within a few hours and has winds, around 100 kilometres per hour or more.
