Every May the Trenton Memorial Hospital Foundation picks a day to honour its donors and to
recognize their generous contributions to the hospital. They were joined by Dr. Colin MacPherson, QHC
Vice President Jeff Hohenkerk, and Lina Rinaldi, Chief Nursing Executive, who each shared their
gratitude to the TMHF donors for their continued support of the hospital.
The zoom event began with a video titled Indestructible by Sean Scally, a local videographer. It was a
thank you to the donors.
This year, 147 donors were honoured during the Donor Appreciation event. These individuals had
notably reached new giving levels and were recognized on the Donor Wall which is located in the day surgery
waiting area at Trenton Memorial Hospital. Paul Ferguson, Chair of TMH, was very thankful for their
donors’ support and acknowledged that they all share a common vision of providing the highest quality
medical care and treatment to those in need, close to home. Since the event was virtual, once again
Sean Scally produced an Honour Roll video to showcase the donor names on the donor wall in the
hospital for all to see.
“Since 1951, local residents have supported Trenton Memorial Hospital and today we are acknowledging
the importance of our donors and their contributions to health care in our community,” said Wendy
Warner, TMHF Executive Director. “We would have preferred an in–person event where we could
interact with our donors but we couldn’t let this time go by without celebrating their investment in our
hospital and bettering health care for all.
Donors help the Foundation fill the gap between operational funding and capital equipment needs.
