Another distillery appears to be coming to Prince Edward County.
At Wednesday’s Planning Committee meeting, council approved a rezoning application for a distillery at 705 Closson Road.
Owners of the land, Jason and Nicole Clarke, were seeking rezoning approval to add a distillery and tasting room to their property.
The distillery will be located in an existing barn.
The owners intend to continue to use their 20-plus hectares of cultivated field area to grow corn, wheat and rye to supply the distillery with ingredients for vodka and gin.
