The National Junior A Championship, known as the Centennial Cup, starts Thursday in Saskatchewan.
It used to be the RBC Cup and routinely saw the Trenton Golden Hawks and Wellington Dukes participate.
This year the Pickering Panthers are playing and Stirling-Rawdon resident Lucas Lapalm is part of the OJHL championship team.
He says their game seven win to take the league was something he will always remember.
He adds they are looking forward to getting started at the Centennial Cup.
They play in the opening game at 2:00 p.m. Thursday (EST) against the Red Lake Miners of the Superior International League from northern Ontario.
