Belleville council won’t be changing its regulations regarding where election signs can be erected.
Monday, Councillor Carol Feeney asked that council reconsider its sign by-law because most election signs are expensive and not recyclable.
Feeney also said the signs were allowed in high traffic areas and were adding to the already serious problems caused by distracted driving.
By a considerable majority, council voted to not reconsider its by-law.
