Belleville council was enthusiastic in its support of bringing back two major summertime events to Zwick’s Park.
Chamber of Commerce CEO Jill Raycroft told council the chamber is ready to put on Canada Day and Waterfront and Multicultural festivals just as they did before the COVID-19 pandemic hit.
Raycroft says they are following the health unit’s current advice.
“The advantage, of course, is that these are outdoor events being held in a park and we won’t necessarily have spaces where people will have to gather closely.”
Both Canada Day and the Waterfront and Multicultural festivals will feature various kinds of entertainment for all age groups.
