The Hastings and Prince Edward community is growing and changing, and the local United Way wants to keep up with the priority issues.
United Way Hastings and Prince Edward has launched a project called “Your Community, Your Vision.”
The project is inviting all community members to share their thoughts and ideas about the community’s challenges, strengths, and what they see for the community’s future.
A series of open conversations will take place all around Hastings & Prince Edward counties in public spaces throughout May, June, and September.
Director of Community Impact at United Way Jodi cooper says “This is a unique opportunity for United Way HPE to deepen its understanding of our community’s needs, and it’s your opportunity to help guide the organization’s future decisions and direction. Our goal is to co-create, with our community, an impact strategy that will guide all of United Way’s work, including funding for community programs.”
Cooper adds, ”The organization’s current impact strategy was created in 2013.”
“Our Community has changed a lot over the last 10 years,” said Brandi Hodge, Executive Director. “The impacts of the pandemic will be felt for years to come and with the changing dynamics we’re seeing across our whole region, it’s time to revisit our priorities and ensure that we are responding to our whole community in relevant and measurable ways.”
