A community Celebration of Life is being held for two young sisters, members of a well-known Belleville family, who were killed in a tragic accident in Florida last month.
The public is invited to a procession in celebration of Maddy and Joni Kort at Zwick’s Park beginning Friday, April 29 at 7 p.m.
The procession will enter on the east side, close to the dog park, and proceed underneath the Bay Bridge, exiting on the west side, past the park.
It is expected that the procession will take approximately 20 minutes.
Those participating are asked to congregate at WEST Zwick’s in green space near the entrance sign.
Volunteers will be there to assist.
Parking is available near the soccer fields.
A private, in-person Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday morning with a livestream link available at www.burkefuneral.ca.
A recent 24-hour run held at the Quinte Sport and Wellness Centre raised almost $90,000 for the family.
