The number of active high-risk COVID-19 cases in Hastings Prince Edward is continuing to climb.
Hastings Prince Edward Public Health is reporting 136 new high-risk cases Wednesday, pushing the active number to 528.
On Monday there were 495 active cases across the two counties.
The number of people in hospital dropped from 26 to 23 with three in the ICU, an increase of one.
There are 16 active outbreaks.
When it comes to vaccinations, the numbers are holding steady. Eighty-nine per cent of those five and older in Hastings Prince Edward who are eligible for a vaccine have had their first shot, and 83% are fully vaccinated.
Just over half the population has received a third dose booster.
The Haliburton Kawartha Pine Ridge District Health Unit reported 60 new cases in Northumberland on Wednesday.
There are 101 active cases in that county.
