On April 23, 2022, officers of the Tyendinaga Police Service, assisted by the members of Lennox & Addington County OPP, responded to an incident where projectiles struck a residence on Bayshore Road in Tyendinaga First Nations.
The investigation thus far indicates that at approximately 11:25 p.m. on Saturday, April 23, 2022, an unknown suspect(s) in a grey sport utility vehicle or van parked on Bayshore Road and attended on foot a property nearby. The suspect(s) fired projectiles into the home and then fled west in the grey vehicle.
Witnesses heard loud noises consistent with the sound of firearms. No one was injured in the incident.
OPP are asking anyone with exterior video or photographic footage in the areas of Bayshore Road or other areas nearby to review their cameras between 11:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 23, 2022 and 12:00 a.m. on Sunday, April 24, 2022, to see if a vehicle or suspect(s) noted above appears on their footage.
