The Bay of Quinte Regional Marketing Board has added another award to its trophy case.
At the recent Economic Developers Council of Ontario’s Annual Conference, the Marketing Board won the Innovation in Community Resiliency in the urban category for its 2021 Bay of Quinte Marketing Grants program.
The Board’s Executive Director Dug Stevenson says they’ve been able to provide over $100,000 to more than 50 projects through the program designed to provide financial support to regional small businesses for their tourism marketing.
The grants were made possible by Municipal Accommodation Tax and other funding.
Feedback provided by the judges panel indicated that the Bay of Quinte project was selected because of its strong return on investment for regional businesses, uniqueness and collaboration.
