It will be a swinging affair this June for The Children’s Foundation as the Guardian Angel Gala returns. The theme of this year’s event, coming up June 18 at The Grand in Belleville, is “The Rat Pack Gala – A Swinging Affair.”
The Guardian Angel Gala is The Children’s Foundation’s main fundraiser for the year, raising money to help at-risk children and youth within Hastings, Prince Edward and Northumberland Counties.
Funds raised help send kids to camp, get involved in sports or other activities and provide bursaries and scholarships for post-secondary education.
This year’s Guardian Angel, Bernie Ouellet will be honoured for his contributions to the welfare of local children and youth.
Gala Chair Liz Lehtinen commented, “We are ecstatic to have our annual gala back this year after having to take last year off due to COVID-19. We can’t wait to present this year’s event in honor of Bernie Ouellet, a true community angel, in an all new location to raise money for the children who need it most.”
