Prince Edward County OPP have laid various charges after investigating a stopped vehicle last week.
Police say officers were on patrol on Friday, April 8 and noticed a vehicle stopped on the side of the road on Hwy. 62 around 10 p.m.
An investigation revealed the driver was prohibited from driving.
Tommy Church, 49, of Quinte West was arrested and charged with:
- Operation while impaired
- Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
- Operation while prohibited – four counts
- Failure to comply with undertaking
- Driving while under suspension
- Deface plate
- Use plate not authorized for vehicle
- Operate motor vehicle without insurance
Church was held for a bail hearing in Belleville. The vehicle was impounded for 45 days.
