The City of Belleville is now accepting applications for rotating vendors to support the development of Pop-Ups on the Bay in West Zwick’s Park.
The city is looking for pop-up businesses and services that will complement the seasonal park vendors and further enhance the park and the waterfront. Ideal pop-up vendors include equipment rentals and sales, tour providers, activity- and event-related services, clothing and goods retailers, fitness instructors and local food (pre-packaged only) and craft producers. Rotating vendor spaces are not designed to accommodate food services, however food trucks are eligible to apply for a rotating serviced space.
West Zwick’s Park is home to seasonal vendors, an outfitter offering water sport rentals on the Bay and food trucks. The summer of adventure, food and fun is scheduled to kick off May 27 and will operate until September 25. Applications for rotating vendors will be accepted until 2 p.m. on April 20, 2022 at Belleville.ca/popups.
“Pop-Ups on the Bay continues to grow and not only provide a popular waterfront gathering spot for local residents but to be an exciting drawing card for tourists and our neighbouring communities,” said Mayor Mitch Panciuk. “We encourage potential vendors to apply and become a part of the 2022 season.”
PLEASE NOTE: The City of Belleville continues to plan for the 2022 Pop-Ups on the Bay season, despite uncertainties around the pandemic. The operating season will be assessed based on the recommendations from Public Health. It is important to reassure applicants that the submission of Pop-Ups on the Bay application will not obligate anyone to become a vendor this summer. Instead, it indicates an interest in this project and allows the city to offer successful applicants a spot for the season and plan for the size and scope of this year’s Pop-Ups on the Bay initiative. Successful applicants will be required to enter into a lease agreement with the city before the event launch date.
