The Prince Edward County Community Choir is planning to do its part in helping Ukraine.
The choir has begun planning for a new recording that will benefit that country.
Choir conductor Moira Forrester tells Quinte News a British composer has a new anthem dedicated to the besieged country.
He has offered it worldwide to any choir that wants to sing it.
Forrester says the idea is to raise funds and help Ukraine through music.
“If they hear us singing this music hopefully people listening to us will be inspired to make a contribution to a local charity. Maybe the Red Cross, whomever. A Ukrainian church perhaps that is doing what they can to help Ukraine.”
Forrester says she expects the anthem will be in English as well as Ukrainian.
