Here’s a way to get a start on Easter – grab a bit of chocolate from United Way of Hastings Prince Edward.
The United Way is launching a chocolate giveaway.
It’s going to be a drive-thru at the United Way office, 55 Harriet Street in Belleville, as a way of saying thank you to the community.
Spokesperson Melanie Cressman says the office received an abundance of Aero chocolate truffles from the company.
Cressman says the idea is to give them away as a thank you to the community for supporting United Way.
“Just to come by. It’s a thank you. It’s a happy spring. It’s a Happy Easter. It will allow some people to get a little jump start on their Easter preparations.”
Cressman explains there will be a tent outside the office and bags of chocolates will be handed through the car windows.
The chocolate giveaway is scheduled for April 12, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
