Hastings Prince Edward COVID-19 hospitalizations are slightly down from Monday.
Hastings Prince Edward Public Health, reports 18 people with COVID-19 are currently in hospital, two fewer than Monday.
The Public Health dashboard shows two are currently in the intensive care unit.
One new death has also been reported, bringing the number to 49 in the region.
There were 196 new high-risk cases Wednesday.
That has driven total active cases to 413, an increase of 73 since Monday.
Four more outbreaks in high-risk settings have been reported, bringing the total to 14 ongoing outbreaks.
Vaccination numbers remain unchanged with 83% of HPE residents aged five and up having received two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine while booster shots have been administered to 89, 471 people as of Wednesday.
The Haliburton Kawartha Pine Ridge District Health Unit reported 26 new high-risk cases today in Northumberland County.
There are now 76 active cases there.
