Building activity was up in the City of Belleville in March compared to the year before.
The city issued 55 permits with a construction value of $6.2 million last month.
That is up from 52 permits worth $4.5 million in March of 2021.
Year-to-date work is down slightly from last year with $15.1 million worth of construction through the first three months of this year compared to $15.6 million through the end of March last year.
