Belleville police responded to 190 calls for service over a 72-hour period from 5.am. on April 1, 2022 to 5 a.m. on April 4, 2022.
Impaired Operation
On Saturday April 2, 2022, Belleville police received a call about a possible impaired driver in the north end of the city. Police located the vehicle a short time later and the driver was arrested for impaired operation. The driver was brought back to the Belleville Police Service where a breathalyzer was conducted. As a result, 66-year-old Ralph Hudson of Corbyville was charged with impaired operation and impaired operation over 80mgs. Hudson was released on an undertaking with an April 2022 court date.
Warrants
On Saturday April 2, 2022 at 7:10 p.m., Belleville police were called to a residence for an unwanted person. Police attended and located a male with outstanding warrants. As a result, 44-year-old Paul Laroche-Davidson of no fixed address was arrested on outstanding warrants for fail to attend court, fail to attend for fingerprints, break and enter, and possession of property obtained by crime under $5000. Laroche-Davidson was held for a bail hearing on August 3, 2022.
Bail Violations
On Sunday April 3, 2022, Belleville police were called to an address on North Park Street for an unwanted person. After speaking with the unwanted party police discovered he was in breach of his release order for outstanding charges. The 26-year-old male was arrest for two counts of breach of release order and held for a bail hearing.
Warrants
On Sunday April 3, 2022, while on general patrol, a Belleville police officer located a male known to have an outstanding arrest warrant for fail to attend court. As a result, 35-year-old David Ashley of Belleville was arrested and transported back to Belleville Police Service. Ashley was later released with a court date in April, 2022.
Mischief
On April 3, 2022 at 3:28 .pm., Belleville police attended a church on Harder Drive in regards to a mischief. Police received information that some youths in the area had thrown stones at the building and had broken three windows. Unlawfully in a Dwelling House
On April 3, 2022 at 6:30 p.m., Belleville police attended a call for service at a residence on Bleecker Avenue. Upon arrival, police received information that a female had entered a residence and was refusing to leave. Police spoke to the suspect who identified herself as Kristine Wendling, a 34-year-old Belleville resident. A records check revealed that Wendling was wanted for breaching her probation. She was held for a bail hearing on April 4, 2022.
