Hastings County has paid tribute to Ukraine in its fight with Russia.
Warden Rick Phillips opened the County Council meeting on Wednesday with the playing of the Ukrainian National anthem.
The full anthem was followed by remarks from the warden on the conflict in Ukraine.
Warden Phillips said, “Our minds and hearts are with the Ukrainian people as they continue to be attacked by Russia.”
“It is hoped by all of us that a resolution to this conflict will be reached soon and that the Ukrainian people can return home and live a normal life.”
