A Quinte West resident is facing multiple drug charges following a traffic stop earlier this week.
Quinte West OPP stopped a vehicle on Tuesday morning around 11:30 on John Street.
Officers discovered the driver, Joseph Cassibo, was wanted by police and he was arrested.
A search of his vehicle found a quantity of suspected cocaine, Percocets, approximately $4,000 cash and suspected drug trafficking items.
Cassibo is facing charges of:
- Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine
- Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – Percocets
- Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000
- Failure to comply with a release order – other than to attend court
He was held in custody and is scheduled to appear for a bail hearing in Belleville on March 30.
