Three people have been arrested following the observation of a suspicious vehicle.
Quinte West OPP noticed during the early morning hours on Wednesday, March 23, a vehicle with multiple occupants parked at a gas station on Old Hwy. 2 in a manner that led officers to believe the driver may have been under the influence.
Following an interaction with the driver and two other occupants, it was learned that a female was wanted on an outstanding warrant. She was arrested, and a search was conducted where a quantity of suspected cocaine and methamphetamine were located. As a result, all three were arrested.
Arrested were Shannon Brooks, 32, of Brighton, Kristina Fox, 48, of Quinte West, and Jessie Wahl, 32, of Kingston.
All three were charged with two counts of possession of a schedule I substance – cocaine and one count of possession of a schedule I substance- methamphetamine. Additionally, Wahl was charged with failing to surrender a driver’s licence.
All three accused were released on undertakings and are scheduled to appear in Belleville court on April 25.
