Belleville police responded to 59 calls for service over a 24-hour period from 5 a.m. on March 21, 2022 to 5 a.m. on March 22, 2022.
Forgery & Breach of Court Order
On March 21, 2022 at 3:40 p.m., Belleville police were called to a local pharmacy on North Front Street in regards to a male suspect attempting to fill a forged prescription for narcotics. Officers located the 25-year-old male, who was from Trenton, in the store. The investigation revealed that the suspect was currently facing other non-related criminal charges and was on an outstanding court order not to be away from his residence without his court-approved surety. The suspect was found to be breaching this order and was arrested without incident. He was charged with uttering a forged document and breaching his recognizance. He was held in custody and will appear before the court today for a show cause hearing.
