On March 17, 2022, members of the NorthumberlandOPP detachment responded to a call for a robbery that had occurred on King Street in the Village of Colborne.
A male entered the business saying he had a gun and demanded the cash register be opened.
He took off before that was done and a weapon was never seen.
Police have identified and arrested the suspect and charges have been laid.
The accused is a young person and their identity is being withheld according to the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
The accused faces the charge of robbery with intent.
The accused was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in relation to the charge.
