Stand with Ukraine organizers were accepting donations at Friday night’s Belleville Senators game at CAA Arena and fans did not disappoint.
Fans donated almost $900 last night during the B-Sens game against the Hershey Bears to go towards the purchase of protective gear for civilian volunteer defence groups.
Organizers Myroslava Symonenko and Corinne Sykes also provided information about the situation in Ukraine and explained more about how the funds will be used.
They also organized the hugely successful rally in Market Square, bringing in over $12,000 in donations and over 20 skids of clothing and medical supplies and other items.
An event was also held at Christ Church in Belleville featuring readings of Ukrainian poetry and information about the history of Ukraine.
